Travis Homer
Travis Homer Out for Week 15
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 2:37 PM
Homer (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
Analysis: Despite upgrading from a DNP on Thursday to limited practice Friday, Homer won't be available for Sunday's contest. The 27-year-old is now in line to miss his seventh game of the season. With Homer ruled out, D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai are currently the only running backs on the Bears' active roster without an injury designation for the Week 15 matchup.
Olamide Zaccheaus
Olamide Zaccheaus Ready to face Cleveland
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 1:21 PM
Zaccheaus (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Analysis: Zaccheaus was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but upgraded to full activity Friday. Meanwhile, Rome Odunze (foot) officially is listed as questionable after having logged a trio of limited practice sessions. If Odunze is unable to play Sunday, Zaccheaus should benefit from an uptick in opportunities on offense.
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze Questionable after limited practice
Fri, Dec 12, 2025, 1:16 PM
Odunze (foot) remained limited at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
Analysis: Odunze was a limited participant Wednesday through Friday after missing last week's loss to the Packers. His failure to progress to full participation could set up a game-time decision ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, with Olamide Zaccheaus (hamstring) set for a big boost in playing time if Odunze is inactive.
Travis Homer
Travis Homer Misses practice again
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 2:50 PM
Homer (ankle) did not participate in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: This marks Homer's second consecutive absence from practice as he deals with an ankle issue he picked up in the Bears' Week 14 loss to the Packers. The special teamer has one more chance to upgrade his practice participation before Sunday's game against the Browns, and will likely need to show some improvement to suit up for the game.
Olamide Zaccheaus
Olamide Zaccheaus Limited in Thursday's session
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 2:45 PM
Zaccheaus (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Analysis: Joining Zaccheaus as a limited practice participant was Rome Odunze (foot), who could be in line to return to action this Sunday against the Browns after sitting out a Week 14 loss to the Packers. Odunze's potential return would likely leave fewer reps to go around for Zaccheaus and rookie wideout Luther Burden, both of whom played north of 70 percent of the Bears' offensive snaps against Green Bay.
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze Puts in limited practice
Thu, Dec 11, 2025, 2:41 PM
Odunze (foot) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Analysis: Chicago had estimated Odunze as a limited participant for Wednesday's walk-through session, but Thursday marked the first time the second-year wideout had actually taken the field for a practice in more than two weeks. Odunze, who is working his way back from a stress fracture in his foot, is a candidate to play Sunday versus the Browns, but he may have to upgrade to full participation in Friday's practice to avoid taking a designation into the weekend. The potential return of Odunze this Sunday would leave fewer reps to go around for rookie Luther Burden, who drew six targets and played a career-high 71 percent of the offensive snaps in a Week 14 loss to the Packers.

Travis Homer Nursing ankle injury
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 8:27 PM
Homer (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Homer likely picked up the injury during the Bears' Week 14 loss to the Packers, when he logged 16 snaps on special teams without showing up on the box score otherwise. He'll need to return to practice in at least a limited capacity over the next two days in order to have a realistic shot at playing Sunday against the Browns.
Olamide Zaccheaus
Olamide Zaccheaus Dealing with hamstring injury
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 4:44 PM
Zaccheaus was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Recently demoted to the No. 4 WR role, Zaccheaus filled in for Rome Odunze (heel) during Sunday's 28-21 loss at Green Bay, catching two of three targets for seven yards and a TD while handling a 78 percent snap share and 83 percent route share. Odunze was also a limited practice participant Wednesday, putting Chicago's WR corps in flux ahead of Sunday's home game against the Browns.
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze Listed as limited Wednesday
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 4:40 PM
Odunze (foot) was listed as limited on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: After missing all three Week 14 practices and being ruled out for this past Sunday's game at Green Bay, Odunze was revealed to be dealing with a stress fracture in his foot that left him week-to-week, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Such a prognosis, even from an NFL insider, typically results in a multi-game absence, but Odunze's listing to start Week 15 prep indicates he has a chance to return Sunday against the Browns. How he fares in practice Thursday and Friday likely will be key in that regard.
Travis Homer
Travis Homer Contained to special teams Sunday
Wed, Dec 10, 2025, 11:47 AM
Homer logged all 16 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Since sitting out a Week 12 win over the Steelers with hamstring and knee injuries, Homer has returned to his usual role on special teams. Homer is the Bears' No. 3 running back, but Chicago won't be compelled to give him snaps on offense outside of garbage time while both D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai are healthy.
Durham Smythe
Durham Smythe Blocking role holds steady
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 6:31 AM
Smythe caught one pass for two yards on one target in the Bears' 28-21 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Analysis: Smythe has three receptions this season, all coming over his last four contests and totaling 14 yards. His primary usage as a blocker and third tight-end role keep him as a non-factor in fantasy lineups.
Devin Duvernay
Devin Duvernay Minimal offensive contribution
Mon, Dec 8, 2025, 6:31 AM
Duvernay caught one pass for 24 yards on one target in the Bears' 28-21 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Analysis: Duvernay recorded his second catch of the season and his first since Week 8 while continuing to work primarily on kick returns. His one target in Week 14 keeps him off the fantasy radar outside of formats that reward return production.
Cole Kmet
Cole Kmet Two receptions in loss
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:42 PM
Kmet caught two of three targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Kmet was able to reel in multiple passes for the second straight game and third time in the last four contests overall. His 42 receiving yards were second on the team behind Luther Burden (67) while fellow tight end Colston Loveland posted a 4-29-1 line. Kmet will look to build off of his recent momentum when the team hosts the Browns in Week 15.
Kyle Monangai
Kyle Monangai Handles 14 carries
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:42 PM
Monangai rushed the ball 14 times for 57 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers. He added one reception on two targets for zero yards.
Analysis: Monangai worked as the traditional lead back for Chicago during the first half, though his touches ultimately evened out with D'Andre Swift throughout the final two quarters. Monangai couldn't find much rushing room in the tough matchup, logging a long gain of only nine yards while averaging 4.1 yards per carry. While it wasn't his best showing, Monangai has clearly established a role in the Chicago offense, having logged at least 12 carries in four consecutive contests.
D'Andre Swift
D'Andre Swift Manages 82 yards in tough matchup
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:29 PM
Swift rushed the ball 13 times for 63 yards in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers. He added three receptions on four targets for 19 yards.
Analysis: Swift was stuck in a secondary role to Kyle Monangai in the first half, but he ended up with one more touch than the rookie. Swift didn't have any explosive plays -- his longest gain came on a 10-yard catch -- though he helped keep the Chicago offense on schedule while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Despite slipping into a clear backfield split with Monangai, Swift has at least 80 yards from scrimmage in four of his last five games and will remain a key contributor in the Chicago offense.
Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams Throws key pick in loss
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 10:01 PM
Williams completed 19 of 35 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Packers. He added four rushes for 15 yards.
Analysis: The Bears had an abysmal first half, managing only 71 net yards on 28 offensive plays. Williams predictably played a significant role in that showing, as he had only 32 yards on 14 pass attempts. However, he rebounded for a decent effort in the second half, recording three completions of at least 20 yards while also tallying a pair of one-yard passing scores. That was enough for Williams to turn in a passable fantasy performance --particularly given the tough matchup -- but he ended the Bears' rally in the final minutes of the game with an interception in the end zone. Overall, Williams managed only his third multi-touchdown showing in his last six games, and he's also reached 200 passing yards in only half of those six matchups.
Olamide Zaccheaus
Olamide Zaccheaus Boosts quiet day with TD
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 8:39 PM
Zaccheaus caught two of three targets for seven yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 loss to Green Bay.
Analysis: Heading into Sunday, it appeared Zaccheaus could play a larger role with Rome Odunze (foot) sidlined, but it was instead Luther Burden who logged a moderate bump in attention and production with a 4-67-0 line on a team-high six targets. With that said, Zaccheaus avoided a near-invisible fantasy score with a touchdown grab from one yard out in the third quarter. Zaccheaus hasn't made more than two catches in a game since Week 9, so he'll remain a very risky fantasy play in Week 15 against Cleveland, especially if Odunze is able to return to action.
Colston Loveland
Colston Loveland Hauls in late touchdown
Sun, Dec 7, 2025, 7:38 PM
Loveland caught four passes on five targets for 29 yards and a touchdown during the Bears' 28-21 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Analysis: Loveland didn't see his first target until the final minute of the second quarter, when he hauled in an 11-yard pass from Caleb Williams. Loveland was more active in the second half, and he helped tie things up at 21-21 with a one-yard touchdown pass from Williams. Loveland finished second on the Bears in targets behind Luther Burden (six), and the rookie tight end has recorded four catches or more in four of his last six games. The Michigan tight end has a 35-435-4 line on 49 targets through 12 regular-season games.
Olamide Zaccheaus
Olamide Zaccheaus Could have bigger role Week 14
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 9:04 PM
Zaccheaus may be in line for more targets Sunday versus Green Bay with Rome Odunze (foot) ruled out, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Zaccheaus began the season promisingly with four catches for 42 yards against Minnesota in Week 1, but he's surpassed that yardage total just once since. Over his past four games, he's been almost entirely a non-factor with just four total catches (on eight targets) for 30 yards. However, Odunze's absence should open up more opportunities for multiple Bears pass catchers, including wideouts Zaccheaus, Luther Burden and DJ Moore as well as tight ends Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet. With that being said, the Packers rank in the top half league-wide in most categories versus wide receivers, so Chicago's struggling passing game could be challenged to produce.
Luther Burden
Luther Burden More targets coming sans Odunze?
Fri, Dec 5, 2025, 4:14 PM
Burden and Olamide Zaccheaus are candidates to take on more snaps and targets in the absence of Rome Odunze (foot) this Sunday at Green Bay, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: It's a tough matchup, on the road in cold weather, but Odunze's absence opens up a lot of playing time and targets for some talented players in ancillary roles. Burden is among those, having recently replaced Zaccheaus as the No. 3 receiver, but the Bears also may lean more heavily on any of WR DJ Moore, RB D'Andre Swift, TE Colston Loveland or TE Cole Kmet to take on larger receiving roles in Odunze's absence.
