Mitchell went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's Cactus League game against the Mariners.
Analysis: Mitchell has picked up at least one base knock in six of his last seven spring appearances, and since the start of that stretch he has racked up three doubles and a homer. Health has been an issue for Mitchell, but he posted an .811 OPS last season. If he can stay on the field consistently in 2025, his counting stats appear primed to pick up.
Garrett Mitchell Out again versus lefty
Mitchell is not in the lineup Thursday for Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series against the Mets.
Analysis: The Mets are starting a lefty for the second day in a row, and Mitchell has been out of the starting nine on both occasions. Mitchell came off the bench to deliver a go-ahead, two-run home run in the eighth inning of Game 2 and is a candidate to enter mid-game again Thursday when the Mets turn to a righty reliever. Blake Perkins is in center field and batting second in Game 3.
